SPECIAL RULES OF PLAY

TO PARTICIPATE IN THE LEGENDS COMPETITION, PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE A GHIN HANDICAP.

Guests and one-time participants without handicaps may play, but their scores will not be used for the team competition.

PACE OF PLAY:

RVR required pace of play is 4 hours 10 minutes, but the Legends goal is to complete our round in 4 hours.

If a group fails to keep its place on the course and loses more than one clear hole on the players in front, the group may be asked to skip a hole to catch up.

In that event, the group is disqualified from the Legends competition.

PUTTS:

Inside 24” considered good. Please mark the shaft of your putter accordingly.

PLAY THE BALL AS IT LIES IN THE ROUGH.

You may roll the ball in the fairway.

PLAY THE BALL AS IT LIES IN BUNKERS, EXCEPT:
-
If the ball comes to rest in an area that is not dry, raked sand, or is in a footprint, the golfer may place the ball in the nearest suitable area within the bunker, no closer to the hole. If no such area is available, the golfer may rake a spot in the bunker, no closer to the hole, before placing his ball.

RVR Local Rule: Stones are movable obstructions and may be removed.

TWO MINUTES MAX LOOKING FOR LOST BALLS.

RVR NATIVE GRASS LOCAL RULE & LOST BALLS:
-
Inbounds native grass areas are played as penalty areas, which means: If the ball is lost or comes to rest in native grass, for a ONE STROKE PENALTY, the player may drop within two club-lengths of where the ball last crossed into the native grass, no closer to the hole.

For all other lost balls, drop within two club-lengths of your best guess where the ball came to rest, no closer to the hole.

OUT OF BOUNDS: ONE STROKE PENALTY.

Drop within two club-lengths of the point at which the ball last crossed course boundary, no closer to the hole.

TEE SHOTS THAT DON'T MAKE IT OVER THE RIVER: ONE STROKE PENALTY.

If there is not a designated drop area, drop across the river in the fairway, furthest from the hole.

Otherwise, use the designated drop area.

IF YOU ARE PLAYING THE RED/WHITE TEES:

Play #13 as WHITE.

Play #18 as RED.
